When are the Days of Service?

Projects are scheduled Tuesday, October 20 through Saturday, October 24, 2026.

How do I choose a project?

The registration form lets you select the dates, times and projects that interest you. Choose the shifts you are available to work. After you register, you’ll receive an email listing your selections. We’ll follow up with your confirmed assignment, full address and arrival instructions before your volunteer day.

Do I need construction experience?

No. Projects include a range of tasks, and the registration form asks what kinds of work you’re comfortable doing. Please tell us about any skilled trade experience you have so we can plan assignments appropriately.

What is the minimum age to volunteer?

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers who are 16 or 17 must provide parent or guardian information during registration.

Can I volunteer with friends or a group?

Yes. Each person should complete their own registration so we have their contact information, availability and waiver. You can also tell us the name of the organization or group you’re volunteering with.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty, painted, or dusty. Closed-toe shoes or work boots are required. For outdoor projects, consider a hat, sunscreen, and layers appropriate for the weather.

Will there be an orientation?

Yes. Volunteers will receive project-specific information during orientation before the event and on-site instruction as needed.

Will food be available?

Accepted Answer

Meals, snacks, beverages, and water will be provided as appropriate based on your project’s schedule and duration.

What if it rains?

Accepted Answer

Days of Service will continue when it is safe to do so. Outdoor projects may be adjusted, reassigned, postponed, or rescheduled. We will communicate any changes directly to affected volunteers.
